THE PHILIPPINES - "Pearl of the Orient Seas"

It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary. - David Bailey
The Philippines – “Pearl of the the Orient Seas”. The outdoor photo exhibit was officially opened yesterday, the 8th of April till the 25th of May this year. It was attended by dignitaries from the diplomatic community in Thailand as well as the different guest from the Bangkok community. The Photo exhibition concentrates on the different cultures, traditions, sceneries, (both from land and the seas) nature and festivals. All the images are in coloured to show the beauty of the subjects and to capture the appreciation of the audience when visualizing.

A quick pose with Her Excellency, Ambassador Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia in the middle and with kuya Ramoncito Bucud. We are both contributed photos to the exhibit.
The setting and installation of the photo exhibit is, for me, a one very successful. The photos were beautifully arranged and well decorated and presented at the Ampitheater zone, Level 1, in front of Zen. The space is so auspicious and even better because each photo stand has its own lamp to give light when the sun's down.

The part that made me realize, is that... our trips should be more focused in the Philippines. The natural beauty of our country is extremely interesting and unique. It truly highlights the diversity in the Philippines. The images speaks a lot and its inviting!

Looking at the displayed fifty photographs circling the lightning ornament fountain is giving the space a sense of inspiration. I was at the exhibit area and I felt the excitement, curiosity, amazement and appreciation of the audience. (including me). I am really proud of the Philippines nature's beauty. Truly, the Pearl of the Orient Seas.

BIG LOVE and BIG THANKS to all who came and supported the event. MABUHAY!

Here are some of the photos taken by Mr. Victor Sawati during the grand opening. Enjoy!
